Muriphobia

Another post for Pictogram. And this time, Lala had a very bad joke. She gave us the ugliest topic for the challenge, which is "Your Phobia". I did some thumbnails but I can't make it because they were too disturbing for me. Yes, they are rats. I hate them. I fear them. They are the ugliest creature in entire universe. I think Xenomorph is better than them. At the end, I just can drew a silhouette of that nasty creature. That was my maximum effort for this challenge -_-"

Eunuch

This is my submission on Pictogram for the "Kodok Berbulu" Challenge. It's the weirdest challenge so far. We have to create a frog with fur. There are only five contestants for it. But i really love the submissions. The ideas are wild, silly and odd. I hope there will be much more contestant for the next challenge and more interesting task. Thanks to Dedy for the great challenge.

Under the Sea

This is the "Under the Sea" post for Pictogram. It's a fat shark who want to befriend to all of creatures there. He makes his skin bright and vivid like a clown fish but he can't hide his great set of razor sharp teeth. So lets pray for his luck. And my luck as well, to win this challenge :)

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great Monday, lads.

YoY

Do you remember the previous post? An artwork i made for "the Beatles Song" challange on Pictogram. I won that challange and i suggested "Greece" as a topic for the new challenge. And this is my submitted artwork for the challenge. A jerk-ass cyclops. I hope you like it as the members there.

Yes, i won, hehe.. A good consecutive win. And for the next challenge, "Under the Sea" is the topic. I hope it will be good idea to be explored.

Happy monday, Lads!

Pictogram

At January 2012, me with my friends Markus and Lala made an activity group on facebook called, Pictogram. Group of illustration lover. You don't have to be a great illustrator and painter to be in it. What we need is an active passionate illustration lover who want to draw, interact, put some comments and share any positive action for others.

Just draw, post, interact with others and be good. We have 24 different challanging topics each year and all of them will be suggested from the winner of the previous challenge.

It's an experimental project for us, but in our first four months, we got lots of talented member and good responses from them. So i hope it will be a good place for all of us.

Oh anyway, after fuckin' four months, finally i won a challange. The member were hard to be pleased, really. They need an artwork with a total effort from you then you'll get their thumbs. That was "The Beatles" challenge and i painted an annoying giant walrus and i won.

Live long for Pictogram!

The Return of the King

Hello folks, happy new year. Quite busy, lately. But today i spent a few hours to make a drawing of a special person. A drawing of a king. Thierry Daniel Henry, the king of Highbury.

A few days ago, Arsene Wenger has "borrowed" Henry from New York Red-bull for two months service. He will not be the number one person like before because we already have Robin van Persie. The departure of Henry was just a bonus in this hard season. He's a late Christmas present for all Gooners.

And sometime, the late present can turn out to be the sweetest one. In his debut last night, as a sub, he scored the only goal in that match. And he scored with his lovely iconic touch. He wore number 12 shirt (his 14 shirt is already belong to Theo Walcott). That was his 12th match against Leeds United and his only goal was his 12th goal to Leeds United.

Not a beautiful match played by our side, but a beautiful day for us to have you again, our king.

Victoria Concordia Crescit.

As a gift, i give you the wallpaper of him saluting the warm greeting of Emirates Stadium at the end of that game.

It's Just, Prerfect!

Yesterday, 10 PM, at my friend's carport. I accidentally looked to the sky. On one of the most polluted sky, i saw the most-rounded yet brightest moon. I was spelled and pretified. It was so beautiful. I can't believe i can see such thing in here.

It's just like "even in the darkest time, we still can get goodness and grace. If we want it". Thank you Lord for anything.

Lovely, it was.

Tribute to Mr. Bolland

I got this beautiful image from my friend, Octa, two years ago. It's a (scanned) quick sketch by Briand Bolland. The artist beyond one of the greatest Batman saga, The Killing Joke. With the genius writer, Alan Moore (V for Vendetta, Watchmen, From Hell), Mr Bolland produced that marvelous tale ot the caped crusader and his greatest villain, The Joker.

Actually, i asked my friend to get the autograph and a little sketch from Mr Bolland at STGCC 09 at Singapore. But i wasn't lucky enough to get what i wanted. I only got this one. A scanned picture of the drawing. Damn!

And today, with that sketch, i made something different. I gave him color, dimension, depth, emotion and smile :)

#01 picture is the orginal sketch from mr. Bolland.
#02 picture is his original sketch with some additional shadow by me
#03 Basic color added
#04 the 3 hours speed painting is done. And i see the combination of Jack nicholson and Hugo weaving in him. Haha..

At the end, Smile :)

The Count

It's a tribute to Sir Christopher Lee, one of the most famous and brilliant British actor. He usually portrays villains and became famous for his role as Count Dracula, Saruman the White in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and Count Dooku in Star Wars saga. Hence, his big dedication for movie history and his country, he was knighted in the Queen's Birthday Honours in 2009.

This is another speed painting i did. Done in 3 hours. Hope you like it :)
