Jeda: Concept and Tone

Remember the Fishy Business (sneak peek) that i posted a month ago? They were just fragments of the artwork. And this is the full preview of the artwork. I drew it based on a surreal short-story called: Jeda, written by a young idealist writer, Rinda Maria. It's just like a collaboration project arranged and curated by herself. Some illustrators will be joined in this project including me.

This is the seventh visual approach that i created for this project (i will show you the other later, perhaps) and it's not the final artwork. She liked with it (praise the Lord), but the final artwork will be executed by manual technique, not the digital one (like shown above).

Thanks for the challenge, Rinda. I hope the final artwork will be better than this one. *fingercross

Fishy Business (sneak peek)

Fragments of unfinished drawing for a surreal short story. I still don't know what will be happened next. Some changes here and there, or another new drawing perhaps. But personally, I'm in love with this one.

So, my dear writer, what say you?

My worst enemy is...

ME.

My worst enemy is myself.

Muriphobia

Another post for Pictogram. And this time, Lala had a very bad joke. She gave us the ugliest topic for the challenge, which is "Your Phobia". I did some thumbnails but I can't make it because they were too disturbing for me. Yes, they are rats. I hate them. I fear them. They are the ugliest creature in entire universe. I think Xenomorph is better than them. At the end, I just can drew a silhouette of that nasty creature. That was my maximum effort for this challenge -_-"

Eunuch

This is my submission on Pictogram for the "Kodok Berbulu" Challenge. It's the weirdest challenge so far. We have to create a frog with fur. There are only five contestants for it. But i really love the submissions. The ideas are wild, silly and odd. I hope there will be much more contestant for the next challenge and more interesting task. Thanks to Dedy for the great challenge.

The Abomination of a Nation (sneak peek)

Our great Government breeds monsters in our own land. They were be fed, maintained, and unleashed in our own land. And with the blessing of our great Government, we live with them. We live with monsters that was bred and trained to spoil the life of our nation. And you can see one of them on the picture below.

ps: I will share the full illustration in a few days. Keep watching.

Ganbette!

I like sushi and i love Arale Chan. They are really adorable :) But if you ask me to describe Japan in one word, all i can say is: Spirit. It means Philosophy, discipline, perfection and consistency for a goal and their goodness. Event an atomic bomb or a great tsunami can't defeat their spirit to be a great nation. Japan for me is great spirit. And there's no any other country can match their spirit. Ganbatte!

I made this artwork as a submission for "Stand for Japan" contest on eyeka.com.  Today, is the announcement day and i've lost it. But hell with that. I really love the process and i'm proud with the final artwork :)

And tomorrow will be a better day for me, my luck and yours. So, keep the good spirit, folks!

Under the Sea

This is the "Under the Sea" post for Pictogram. It's a fat shark who want to befriend to all of creatures there. He makes his skin bright and vivid like a clown fish but he can't hide his great set of razor sharp teeth. So lets pray for his luck. And my luck as well, to win this challenge :)

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great Monday, lads.
