I like sushi and i love Arale Chan. They are really adorable :) But if you ask me to describe Japan in one word, all i can say is: Spirit. It means Philosophy, discipline, perfection and consistency for a goal and their goodness. Event an atomic bomb or a great tsunami can't defeat their spirit to be a great nation. Japan for me is great spirit. And there's no any other country can match their spirit. Ganbatte!

I made this artwork as a submission for "Stand for Japan" contest on eyeka.com.  Today, is the announcement day and i've lost it. But hell with that. I really love the process and i'm proud with the final artwork :)

And tomorrow will be a better day for me, my luck and yours. So, keep the good spirit, folks!

Another Painting Exercise

Too busy with my new project (pray for me and the company, please) and have very little time to paint. No practice is a very bad situation for an illustrator. So, in this tight schedule, I made this drawing.

My friend, a good child photographer has asked me to draw one of his client for a sample. I just think that was a challenge and an opportunity do some practice. And here it is, I present you, Mikaela, in a different approach (brush type). Enjoy :)

Tons of Foolishness

Hello, there! Back with me in different year :)

2010 was super duper great, aye? And 2011, it's gonna be much greater, I wish. One of my resolutions in 2011 is "to own an illlustrated self-daily stories". I mean, a real one. It will tell everything that happens on my humble life. Since I don't speak English very well, my new blog will be written in Bahasa Indonesia :)

It's an "aggressive expansion" (quoted from The Joker in The Dark Knight. I love that quote, by the way). This lazy boy should post anything, DAILY. Wow.. Very big task to do. But it's 2011 now, and we gotta make a bigger and better jump, aye? Wish me luck..

A very fast, hectic and restless year, but at the end, He gave me lots of presents beyond my imagination.
